Terms of Service

Savyy is a personal finance management platform that helps you connect your bank accounts, view and organize transactions, track spending patterns, and automatically categorize expenses using AI. The Service is designed to provide you with insights into your financial activity — it does not hold funds, execute payments, or provide access to credit. Key features include:

• Secure connection to your bank accounts via regulated open banking providers (read-only access)
• Automatic synchronization of transactions and balances
• AI-powered transaction categorization with manual override capability
• Spending analytics, budgets, and alerts
• Data export functionality (CSV, Excel)

To use the Service, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
• Reside in a country where the Service is available

By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements. We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate accounts if eligibility cannot be verified.

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password confidential and secure
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

You may not share your account credentials or allow others to access your account. We may suspend or terminate your account if we suspect unauthorized use or breach of these Terms.

Your privacy is fundamental to our service. We process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

• We collect only the data necessary to provide the Service
• Your banking credentials are never stored by Savyy — authentication is handled directly by our regulated banking partners
• Sensitive data (IBANs, tokens) is encrypted using AES-256-GCM
• You retain ownership of your data and can request deletion at any time

Savyy uses artificial intelligence to automatically categorize your transactions. To protect your privacy:

• Before AI processing, we anonymize your data by hashing merchant names, removing personal identifiers, and sanitizing descriptions
• Only minimal attributes are sent to AI: amount magnitude and transaction type (credit/debit)
• We use open-source AI models on our own infrastructure
• Your data is never used to train AI models — by us or any third party

The Service integrates with third-party providers to deliver core functionality:

• Banking Connectivity (Bridge): Provides secure, read-only access to your bank accounts via PSD2-compliant open banking APIs. Your banking credentials are handled directly by Bridge, not Savyy.
• Payment Processing (Stripe): Handles subscription billing securely. We do not store your payment card details.
• Infrastructure Providers: Cloud hosting, database, and security services that power the platform.

By using features that involve third-party services, you agree to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

Savyy is a financial data aggregation and visualization tool. We do not provide:

• Investment advice or recommendations
• Tax advice or tax preparation services
• Legal or accounting advice
• Credit counseling or debt management services
• Recommendations on specific financial products or services

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date financial data, please be aware:

• Transaction data is sourced from your banks via third-party providers and may contain errors, delays, or omissions
• Account balances may not reflect pending transactions or holds
• AI-generated categories are estimates and may require correction
• Historical data availability depends on what your bank provides

You should always verify important financial information directly with your financial institutions. Do not rely solely on Savyy for critical financial decisions. Report any data discrepancies to us so we can investigate.

You agree to use the Service responsibly and lawfully. You must not:

• Access accounts, data, or systems you do not own or have authorization to use
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent any security measures
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
• Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users or our staff

The Service, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is owned by Savyy and protected by intellectual property laws.

• We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service
• The Savyy name, logo, and branding are trademarks of Savyy
• Your financial data remains your property — we claim no ownership over it

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.

Savyy offers both free and paid subscription plans:

• Free Plan: Limited features with basic functionality
• Savyy+ (Paid Plan): Full access to all features including unlimited bank connections, advanced analytics, and data export
• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
• You can cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
• We may change pricing with reasonable notice; existing subscribers will be notified before renewal

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you believe you are entitled to a refund.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any data
• Warranties that defects will be corrected or that the Service is free of viruses

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SAVYY AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service
• Damages arising from any third-party services or content
• Damages arising from unauthorized access to your account or data

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid to Savyy in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or EUR 100, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation of liability for certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence, and nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

We may modify these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Service, legal requirements, or business practices.

• Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice in the Service at least 30 days before they take effect
• Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms
• If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. The "Effective" date at the top indicates when these Terms were last updated.

Either party may terminate this agreement:

• You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us
• We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms
• We may terminate the Service or your account with 30 days notice for any reason
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Savyy regarding the Service.

Survival: Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) shall survive.
